the stretch of road around my home and studio in the gatineau hills is so
characteristic of rural beauty: rolling farmland, small streams, patches
of forest

i am on this road every day, every day i stop, look, listen

it is perfect

in the winter, the snow on the fields and hills is untouched all season,
except by the wind, shaped by the wind

when i painted this landscape i was the wind, the oil paint was the snow
