a beginning or a continuation?

is there such a thing as a beginning?

or is it just a continuation?

everybody has their own thoughts on this.

this is my own thought:

it doesn't matter.  the point is to be compelled to carry on, to do it again and again and on and on and on.  just put a smear down on to the canvas, any color, any shape. then another one, get into it, roll around in it, lose all sense of direction, fall on your ass, get up again and, at some point in time, hopefully, see a little bit of light coming in through the cracks.
