who cares that what our eyes see and what our brain interprets are two distinct events?

who cares that cognitive neuroscientists  have implemented a technique called "related brain potentials" to measure the millisecond after light information hits the retina see when the brain processes this information?

who cares that it is  a tracking technique that allows the scientists to document the early stages of visual analysis, well before conscious language information is accessed?

who cares that one of the most interesting finds of this analysis is the differences in visual processing of color between people who speak different languages?

who cares that the processing of light and dark blues were examined between greek speakers and english speakers?

who cares that greek speakers use two different terms to refer to blue:  ghalazio (light blue) for sky,  ble (dark blue) for pen ink?

who cares that english speakers would have no problem calling both the sky and a pen ink blue in an instant?

who cares that this difference is documented as early as 100 milliseconds, suggesting that speakers of different languages literally have differently structured minds?
